February gave us a lots of love and fun!  We put valentine hearts on our residents’ doors, telling them all the things we love about them and sharing funny jokes.  Everyone really enjoyed seeing the hearts appear on their doors.  We played lots of fun games, cards, and worked out regularly.

We’ve been enjoying doing chair exercises daily with “Bob and Brad; the most famous physical therapist on the internet!”   Sherry Morris Zach gets our blood pumping with chair yoga set to fun polka music.  If you haven’t seen either of these work out video’s check them out on YouTube.  They are sure to get you moving and make your heart happy.

Our Valentine’s Day party was filled with fun trivia games, word searches, tasty treats and good times with friends and family.   We had a few visitors this past month brining in music and laughs.  We heard our own Cassidy Dixon sing with Elvis, and it was amazing!  If you haven’t seen the video check out our Facebook page and give it a listen.  You will be glad you did!

Unfortunately, Covid came to visit also and our face to face activities were put on hold for a couple of weeks so we could ensure everyone stayed healthy.  During this time, we completed lots of fun activity packets and shared some treats to keep people active and smiling.

March is shaping up to be just as fun and entertaining.   We will be hosting a concert with Humanities Nebraska and will be glad to have Joan Wells and Kris Simon return to sing more “Up the Nebraska Cattle Trail and Songs of the West on March 14th, at 2:00 p.m.  Also look for fun pictures from our St. Patrick’s Day party.  We will be wearing lots of green and celebrating our Irish heritage.
